“Almost, Maine”

The talented actors of South will guide you through Almost, a folkloric town full of young and old love.  The town is covered with a blanket of gleaming snow which lies below the dark, starry night. “Almost, Maine” is a romantic comedy that will be performed at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 – 17 in the playhouse at South.

“You can see yourself in multiple characters,” said Samantha Silva, a producer of the show and also a math teacher.  “Be it in a break-up or falling in love for the first time or something in that sense. Every scene gives you a new beginning to find a connection to.”

Freshman Connor Rossi, sophomore Leo Berger and senior Gracie Chase are some of the students in the main cast, who are playing multiple characters: some of them being Jimmy, Sandrine and Kendall.

The play is divided into nine vignettes, which take place in the town of Almost, where strangers become friends, friends become lovers and lovers become strangers.
