Naps at high schools would be beneficial to both students and teachers. Students will be more focused in class, and teachers will be better able to teach students that pay attention and participate. According to junior.scholastic.com, even a 20 to 30-minute nap allows teenagers to feel more alert and retain more information. This type of short nap is good for alertness and increased motor performance. In my opinion, the best time to add a nap time in school would be around 1 pm, as this is when most students start to feel tired. Another good option instead of naps in school would be to make the school day start around 8:30 am, which would allow students to get more sleep instead of relying on coffee.
