In “A Tyrant’s Wrath,” published May 31, freshman Jordan Blaise explores teenage themes and how to navigate life.

“A Tyrant’s Wrath’ is about a young black teenager in an urban environment trying to deal with the influences around him and trying to make the right decisions to get by,” said Blaise in an audio interview over Zoom.

Although a work of fiction, the book is inspired by the story of Blaise’s family.

After reading his book, Blaise hopes his audience will understand the importance of decisions and consequences: “I hope they will be inspired by my story to do their best to have what they think is a better life no matter their circumstances.”
